James has been in the financial industry since 1997.  James studied Economics at Chabot College. He founded Castle Rock Wealth Management, LLC in 2016 a Registered Independent Advisor serving high net worth individuals and families throughout the country.  James holds a Series 7, 63 and 65 in addition to a CA Insurance Lic#0H50441.  Currently, he is studying to become a Certified Wealth Strategist (CWS).

James is passionate about giving back.  He is a member of the Knights of Columbus Chapter #5811 which raises money for charities like Habitat for Humanity and Wheel Chairs for Charity.  He also volunteers for GRIP (Greater Richmond Interfaith Program) feeding the homeless once a month.  He donates his time to families in his church to educate them on the importance of saving and planning for their children’s college education.

James enjoys fishing, golfing, traveling and most of all, spending time with his family.  James and his wife, Jennifer, live in the Bay Area with their sons Jimmy Joe and Julian.

Mark Bertoli has been supplying professional financial advice to his clients for 38 years. Mark is a Certified Financial Planner™ and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary. He is also a Registered Investment Advisory Affiliate with Castle Rock Wealth Management LLC, a Registered Investment Advisor, and a Registered Representative with Private Client Services. Castle Rock provides investment analysis, money management, advisory services, and financial planning.

Prior to his current Partnership, Mark ran his own money management firm with offices in the San Francisco East Bay and Sacramento. Previously, Mark was a Portfolio Manager with the private San Francisco money management firm, Financial Directions, Inc. In addition, Mr. Bertoli worked as a Stock Analyst and Money Manager for Associated Planners Investment Advisory, Inc., also in San Francisco.  Earlier in his career, he was a Financial Planner at John Hancock Financial Services as well as an Analyst working with financial instruments at Bank of America.

Mark graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a degree in Economics and earned his CFP designation from the College of Financial Planning in Denver. He completed his Certification as a registered and Accredited Investment Fiduciary from Fiduciary Insights 360 (Fi360) in Pittsburgh, PA. His professional affiliations have included membership in the International Board of Certified Financial Planners, and the East Bay Chapter of the International Association for Financial Planning. He was the President of the Contra Costa Business Alliance for seven years.

Jennifer has been providing personal wealth management solutions to high-net worth clients since 1993. She works as an advocate for clients to develop, manage, and execute a tailored financial plan while educating each client along the way.  She works with individuals and small business owners either planning for or living in retirement that are looking for their 401(k), 403(b), TSA’s and IRA’s to support their lifestyle. Jennifer develops a deep working relationship with clients and their tax and legal advisors to provide a financial plan encompassing current and future goals as well as the opportunity for wealth transfer.

Jennifer holds Securities License Series 6, 7, 63, and 65, a CA Insurance License #0B82637, as well as the designation of Certified Wealth Strategist®.  She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Political, Legal, and Economic Analysis as well as her Master’s Degree in Public Policy from Mills College in Oakland, CA.  Jennifer also received a Certificate in Financial Planning (awarded with distinction) from UC Berkeley Extension.  She considers herself a perpetual student continues to educate herself in an array of topics.

Jennifer enjoys spending time with her two teenage daughters and has a passion for volunteering and giving back to her community. She has held roles as a PTA Chairperson, youth soccer coach and referee, Children’s Hospital Oakland Cancer Ward Volunteer, Board Member, Senior Outreach Center, and SRVUSD Special Needs Substitute ParaEducator.  She is active in the advocacy of the LBGTQ community as well as domestic violence and juvenile justice reform. She is an extreme hiker and enjoys camping and gardening with her kids.

Peter R. Albano is an Investment Advisory Representative with Castle Rock Wealth Management, LLC, a Registered Investment Advisor providing investment analysis, portfolio management, advisory services and financial planning. Peter has served both individual and corporate investment management clients over a 45-year career with several financial services firms. Prior to joining Castle Rock in 2018 he was Chief Investment officer at Albano Investment Management, a Registered Investment Advisor he founded in 2004 in Monterey, CA. He also previously co-founded and was Senior Vice President at Holber & Associates, a RIA firm in Carmel, CA.

Peter graduated from Hobart College with a BA in Psychology. He studied business-cycle analysis at the American Institute for Economic Research and began his career at American Institute Counselors, Inc. as a Portfolio Manager eventually being named Vice President and Senior Editor of the Institute’s bi-weekly market newsletter, The Investment Bulletin. Peter also has taught a graduate-level course in financial planning in the UC California-Extension system and has been a featured speaker on a variety of financial topics including international financial planning, corporate stock options and charitable giving.

Having a passion for music, Peter served 9 years as a director of the Carmel Bach Festival, a 2 week celebration of J.S. Bach integrating music, education and ideas. His board service included a term as 1st Vice President, Audit Committee Chair and CBF Foundation board. Peter and his wife Anne live in Corral de Tierra, CA and travel regularly to visit their children and granddaughter in the Pacific Northwest. He is an active member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd having served 2 terms on Vestry (including Sr. Warden) and he enjoys skiing, backpacking and hiking. An accomplished musician, he plays guitar and sings with folk and bluegrass groups in the Monterey Bay area.

Joan has been in the financial industry since 1978.  Joan received a BS in Education from The Ohio State University in 1968.  She is Financial Consultant registered with Castle Rock Wealth Management and holds Series, 7, 63, 24, 4 and 65 licenses.  Joan loves the challenge of “navigating” the stock market,  studying to find profitable opportunities for clients.

Joan lives in Kellogg, Idaho with her husband, John Fuller.  She served for over 20 years on the board of the Historic Silver Valley Chamber of Commerce, was chairman of the Kellogg Gem Team working to promote economic development and a member of Kiwanis.  She is still a go to person for volunteer help in many aspects of the community.

Joan and John enjoy skiing, snow shoeing, hiking, biking, kayaking and cruises.  Being sports fans from Ohio, they cheer for Ohio State, the Cavaliers and (oh yes) the Browns.  They have 5 children and six grand children who they enjoy as much as possible.

Robert “Bob” Davis joined Castle Rock’s team in December of 2017.  Prior to Castle Rock, Bob was the Principle Financial Advisor of Davis Investment Group (DIG) which he started after working 25 years for other financial firms.  His financial knowledge, proven advising skill, and ability to connect personally with clients puts them at ease and establishes rapport that enables great financial planning and achievement of financial goals.

Bob’s personal mission is to use his integrity, time and talents to make a positive difference in the lives of his clients and others (via Kiwanis, ELKS and Chamber of Commerce activities).  A primary focus is educating young people about investing in their future.  As a financial adviser, Bob considers his clients’ best interests as his first priority – a responsibility he takes very seriously. Clients trust that he will make every effort to do what is in their best interest … and he does!

After earning a B.A. in Economics and Market Analysis and an M.B.A. in Management and Marketing, Bob successfully passed the FINRA Series 7 and 63. At the same time, he held part-time and full-time positions that provided manufacturing, management, and additional financial experience.

He also uses his Tax and Life Agents Licenses to develop plans that suit clients’ financial situations.  Since 1986, Bob’s qualifications and experiences – public speaking on financial topics, a Series 7 instructor, investment executive, business management, personal investing and community service.

Bob enjoys travel, gardening, woodworking projects, especially for his grandchildren and community service through the many organizations he is active in.

Bill has been in the financial industry since 2013. He studied Economics and Finance at The University of Nebraska, and Economics at Jesus College in Oxford, England. He joined Castle Rock Wealth Management, LLC in 2018 as a Registered Independent Advisor serving high net worth individuals and families. Bill holds a Series 7, and 66 in addition to a CA insurance Lic#0I70714. Bill earned his Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA) designation in 2018.

Bill is a member of The Foster City Men’s club. He donates both his time and money to the club which raises money to help support Foster City and San Mateo schools. Bill also donates his time to Broadway by the Bay, to support the arts, and to Community Gatepath, which helps turn disabilities into possibilities.

Bill is a San Mateo native, and an avid sports fan who follows most Bay Area teams. He’s also a “DIY” guy who enjoys building, brewing, curing, and making things himself. He enjoys golfing, traveling, cooking, working on various projects in his garage, and spending time with his wife, Jing, and their two daughters, Olivia and Roxie.

Dean graduated from Cornell University and started his career as an engineer. Prior to joining our team, he was the Department Manager for Operations at BART. He has since retired from that position and has focused on Financial Planning.

Dean has nearly 40 years of experience as a Series 7 Registered Representative with the majority of that time spent with Royal Alliance Associates, Inc. (which was recently rebranded as Osaic Wealth Management). He has been a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) for over 37 years.

Dean lives in Walnut Creek with his wife of 42 years. He has two daughters and a granddaughter. Dean likes to bike and play golf and is active in the Walnut Creek Concert Band, the Contra Costa Chamber Orchestra and the Diablo Symphony Orchestra.

Joyce has over 20 years in the financial services industry. Licensed in 1997, she holds a General Securities License (Series 7), a Uniform Securities Agent License (Series 63), and Insurance License (CA #0C06962).

Joyce specializes in CalSTRS, CalPERS retirement calculations and is an expert advisor in the 403b market. Additionally, she is very accomplished in navigating IRA’s, ROTH IRA’s, and 529 College Savings Plans. She especially enjoys retirement and estate planning, incorporating tax-free and tax-efficient strategies for her clients at or near retirement.

Joyce has a Master of Arts Degree in Educational Administration from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA, a Bachelor of Public Administration Degree from the University of San Francisco in San Francisco, CA, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education with a Minor in Biology from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA.

Currently, Joyce resides in Modesto, CA. For leisure, she enjoys going to the ocean, doing anything outside, building projects, and baking.

Jennifer has been working in the financial industry since 2010. She has teamed up with her husband, James, and oversees all of the back office operations and compliance for Castle Rock.

Jennifer joined the firm with over 5 years of business management experience, successfully owning and operating her own local business. She studied Business Management at the University of the Pacific and Washington State University.

Jennifer is passionate about giving back.  She is involved in her church group, Life Works, which focus’ on catholic families giving back to those in need in her community.  In addition, she volunteers her time at her son’s school, Christ The King. Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family, day trips to Napa, traveling and is a fan of Disneyland.  She lives in the Bay Area with her husband and their sons Jimmy Joe and Julian.

Ted has been working in the financial industry since 2000. He joined Castle Rock in 2020 bringing many years of experience and knowledge to the team.

Ted served in our United States Marine Corps earning Sergeant status before being honorably discharged in 1984.

Ted loves sports especially baseball and is a diehard A’s fan. He is known to be a great cook and annually hosts Oyster Barbeques on the Beach in Pointe Reyes.

Otis joined the CRWM Team in 2019 hoping to fill the spot we had open for Office Greeter.  We quickly realized that he was better suited for the Office Alarm Guard which was a position we didn’t know we needed.  He has been great at alerting us (as well as the entire building) when an intruder (AKA delivery drivers) enters the office.

Otis was born in Oregon and traveled to Walnut Creek CA shortly after birth.  When he is not at work, he enjoys long walks, tons of treats, playing with all his furry friends and camping.

Murray has been working with us since 2000, serving as a Marketing Consultant and Arizona Area Coordinator for events and client relations.  He has successfully spear headed seasonal town halls which educate retirees in the Arizona area about current market conditions, our Castle Rock firm and how we can help.  Prior to joining our team, Murray worked 26 years in Marketing Management for Chevron Corporation.  Murray currently holds a Series 7.

Murray was born and raised in Tampa, Florida.  Graduated from the University of South Florida and currently resides in Anthem Arizona with Nancy, his wife of over 50 years.  Murray enjoys hiking, golfing and spending time with his children and grandchildren in Texas.

Mark Lynch is a retired executive from Chevron Corporation where he spent 36 years managing various finance organizations with large international scopes. Mark positions included, Global Audit Manager Exploration and Production, Global Credit Manager, North America Accounting/Finance Manager, Manager of Reporting / Planning for Chevron International Oil Company, Manager of Internal Controls / Accounting Policy, and Global Chief Compliance Officer along with other managements positions.  Mark was fortunate to oversee activities in over 30 countries. Mark is the Chair of the Accounting Advisory Board at Cal Poly University where he is also a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council. Mark is also part of Cal Poly’s Executive Mentoring Program and is very active in mentoring young adults locally.

Prior to joining Chevron, Mark worked for Standard Oil of Ohio as a Contracts Compliance Analyst spending a significant amount of time on projects in Alaska. Following his graduation from Indiana University Mark was a Tennis Professional for two years.

Mark has been extremely active in the Walnut Creek community as a youth coach, volunteer and a founding member of the Northgate Pride Foundation which has added significant value to Northgate High School.

Mark lives in Walnut Creek, Ca and is married to Michele Lynch and has two sons Ryan and Tysan.

For more than 23 years, Peter has been assisting individuals, families, and businesses in pursuing their financial goals and objectives. Peter believes that one of the most important things he can do for his clients is to empower them with the knowledge to make sound financial decisions.  He joined the Castle Rock Team in June of 2016 and in June of 2017 Peter retired from the business and has been traveling the globe.  He is an avid sailor and loves being at sea.

Peter still checks in from time to time offering his expertise to our advisors.

Ted is Castle Rock’s go to for Tax and Estate Planning.  We refer our clients, friends and family to him for all tax/estate/trust related situations. Ted graduated from St. Ignatius College Preparatory in San Francisco in 1974 and Santa Clara University with a B.S. in Political Science in 1978. He received a Juris Doctor degree from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1981, where he was an editor of The Santa Clara Law Review. He also received a Master of Business Administration degree from the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University in 1982. Ted was admitted to the California State Bar in 1982.

Ted began his career as a tax attorney in the San Francisco office of the international accounting firm Deloitte & Touche, LLP and then practiced in the areas of estate planning, tax and corporate law before taking on the challenges of corporate life as the CFO and CEO (and managing all legal affairs) of a variety of public and private (and divisions of Fortune 100 and 500) companies, including Design Within Reach, Prints Plus, Supercuts, ACA JOE and Impostors.

Ted has been a member of the Advisory Board to the Retail Management Institute in the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University since 1997 and was Chairman of the Board from 2002-2006.

Sam Dameron has been advising clients in investment and financial planning since 1986.  After operating as an independent advisor for many years, he came to Castle Rock Wealth Management to give his clients the benefits of a team approach for their investments.

Sam holds Series 7, 24, 63 and 66 securities licenses and a California Life and Health Insurance license.   He graduated from California State University Stanislaus with a degree in Physical Sciences and earned his CFP™ designation from the College of Financial Planning in Denver.  He is an active member of the Stanislaus County Estate Planning Council.

He and his wife Gail have five children and seven grandchildren.  He spent his youthful years working with his father on the family peach farm and still loves growing beautiful flowers and lots of vegetables.  Sam enjoys sailing and participates in the Spring race series at the Stockton Sailing club.

Gail joined the financial industry upon the request of her husband, Sam Dameron. While working with Sam, she also helps people learn and decide on what program in Medicare would be right for them. Her background includes working within the legal field for 20 years. She began as a legal secretary, progressing to office manager and legal administrator. She then spent 17 years in the mortgage loan industry working as a mortgage loan officer.

Gail was born and raised in Billings, Montana. She states that she was raised with a snow shovel with her name on it and decided to leave that in Montana when she left the state. She enjoys sailing on the Hunter 30’ sailboat named Epiphany which she and her husband have owned for several years.

As a member of the Stockton Sailing Club, she advanced through the board of directors holding positions of club secretary, rear commodore, vice commodore, commodore and past commodore. She remains very active in the sailing club. She and her husband have five children in their blended family along with five granddaughters, two grandsons and one great-grandson.
